ATTR has many amazing rescues that we get from shelters but we do come across some that are very scared or need a confidence boost or we to help them learn how to trust people. We are setting up classes in both of our locations in which we will be working with these rescues. Each week we will invite in volunteers, staff, foster homes and future adopters to watch us work with the rescues. You will be learning how to help the rescues and elevate your own handling skills at the same time. We encourage people of all ages to come and participate. The more people involved the more rescues we will be able to help rehab and get into homes quicker. If you have been thinking about fostering, volunteering or just spending time with rescues in need this is the perfect opportunity for you to get involved. We will be posting the times and locations at both adoption centers, on Facebook and on the website. If you want to get involved text a volunteer coordinator or fill out an application online in the Get Involved section and write in Reactive Dog program after your name.
Classes so far will be in Frankfort on Wednesdays at 5:30 and Sundays at 3:30. Please feel free to show up.
We will be adding classes in St John soon.
