Abbey has been with us since June. She is a 5 year old English Bulldog. She came to us with many issues. She had ulcers on her eyes, conjunctivitis and she has issues keeping her food down. We have done surgery on her eyes and have done numerous tests on her to try and figure out why she cannot keep food down. She also needs to have a dental done but we cannot keep her healthy long enough to perform that surgery on her. When her diet is controlled she appears to be better for a time but we have come to a point that she needs to see a specialist. Our vets feel that she aspirates a little each time she regurgitates her food to the point they suspect aspiration pneumonia. Thoracic radiographs show increased opacity in all lung fields. Her blood work found extremely elevated WBC count characterized by neutrophilla and monocytosis. We have reached a point that she needs to see a specialist and we need to raise the funds to just to get her in the door and examined. Since she needs outside vet care it will not be done until we can raise the money. She is urgent and we need to get her to Purdue in the next day or two for any chance at survival. She is rapidly getting worse and we fear the urgency at which we need to raise at least $2500 just for the initial visit to a specialist. Then we many need $5000 or more to treat her. We think her trachea and or esophagus many be too narrow and she will require surgery. We will not know what is needed until we get her to a specialist. We want to begin to raise money for Abbey (the fosters call her Lucy or Lulu). We cannot even begin to treat her until we raise this money. We do not have an account with anyone other than the vets on site at Alsip Home & Nursery and do not have the funds for the testing much less for future treatment. In order for us to help Abbey, we need you more than ever to donate for her. Help us save Abbey's life. We need to raise $2500 just to get her into a specialist at Purdue then we will need to raise $5000 or more to save her life. We suspect she has aspiration pneumonia and we need to get her to Purdue within the next 24 hours to see if we can save her life. You can donate directly to her her care only with this link and it will be tax deductible. Please share this fundraiser for Abbey as her time is limited and we are devastated and worried for her life. We cannot do this without first raising money for the initial exam and then for the cost of treatment.
